Through several ambitious projects, this sizeable loan intends to strengthen NTDC’s power transmission and distribution infrastructure throughout Punjab. Two important projects include constructing a new 220 kV grid station and a 50 km transmission line in Arifwala. It will seamlessly integrate with the MEPCO distribution system.

Additionally, a 48 km transmission line and a stunning upgrade to the existing 220 kV grid station in Vehari’s 500 kV level will be added, greatly increasing transmission capacity and benefiting MEPCO customers. In addition, the GEPCO distribution network will seamlessly connect to 91 km of transmission lines and a new 500 kV grid station in Sialkot.

The NTDC anticipates that this kind of loan will significantly increase the efficiency and dependability of the power supply. Additionally, it will improve Pakistan’s overall efficiency of electricity transmission, promoting affordability and expanding energy supplies. The project is especially important for Sialkot since it gives the city, well-known for its sports and industrial prominence, a steady electricity supply.

Representatives from several departments attended the ceremony, along with prominent leaders from both NTDC and AFD. The partnership between AFD and NTDC is important for building a more reliable and strong power infrastructure. It can potentially improve the lives of countless people in the area.

AFD and NTDC aim for an electrified future, so their collaboration portends a better future for Punjab’s electricity sector. These initiatives will bring about dramatic changes with an unwavering dedication to quality. Advancing the area towards a more empowered and connected future.
