Interim Chief Minister of Punjab Mohsin Naqvi has improved the province’s road infrastructure by looking for a strategy to build plastic roads. The decision reached on a general basis aims to adopt these cutting-edge roads that provide higher durability than traditional coal tar-produced plastic roads since they are less prone to fracture.
The CM seeks to guarantee that road-building projects retain justice and adhere to the highest construction standards by emphasising transparency and adherence to high standards.
One hundred thirty-seven ongoing road restoration projects totalling 2600 kilometres are now taking place in Punjab. The CM has required e-tendering for all projects to encourage fairness in awarding contracts for construction.
The Caretaker CM has set a lofty goal of concluding 107 inter-district road development projects within a brisk three-month timeline. It will improve connection and accessibility among districts further.
Furthermore, the CM has highlighted the need for better healthcare services in addition to concentrating on road building. A mandate to upgrade the Punjab Institute of Cardiology emergency department in Lahore has been issued. Reducing patient travel while ensuring efficient and effective treatment delivery is the main goal of this makeover. The directive intends to develop a viable and useful system inside the medical institution, emphasising patient convenience and treatment efficacy.
Smart beds will be incorporated as part of the suggested redesign to facilitate examinations and treatments. It will replace wheelchairs as is already done. These actions are intended to improve patients’ overall experiences by ensuring they receive the best care possible. It will also minimise needless movement throughout the healthcare facility.
These incisive actions show the Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab’s dedication to advancing infrastructural growth and enhancing healthcare services throughout the state. These efforts, emphasising innovation and efficiency, are well-positioned to improve the populace’s lives and contribute to Punjab’s sustainable growth.
