The project has become the talk of the town for achieving a 15% reduction in total expenditure. It received praise for its swift execution and finishing ahead of the projected six months. During the ceremony, Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi congratulated the residents of Lahore, especially those in Gulberg and Defence, for the successful and timely completion of the Cavalry Underpass.
With the inauguration of the Cavalry Underpass, the route is expected to accommodate 200,000 vehicles daily. It will significantly reduce signal stops, ultimately saving people’s time. Acknowledging the challenges inherent in the construction process, CM Naqvi commended the dedicated efforts of DG LDA, his team, and the contractor for their unwavering commitment to completing the project around the clock.
