On Sunday, Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi, chaired a meeting at the CM Office to discuss ongoing road projects in the province. The meeting was held to ensure the timely completion of these projects. It aims to facilitate and provide comfort to the public.
Naqvi ordered that the construction and repair work projects of link roads be completed on time. As per the briefing, priority should be given to the roads connecting cities to motorways.
During the briefing, the CM was informed that 1,819 road construction and repair projects were underway in Punjab. In addition, Naqvi directed officials to prioritize the patchwork of roads and the restoration and construction of road shoulders.
The meeting was attended by Provincial Minister for Communication & Works (C&W) Bilal Afzal, Chairman of Planning & Development, Secretary of Finance, Secretary of C&W, and other officials concerned. Naqvi’s orders reflect the government’s commitment to improving infrastructure and providing ease of travel for the citizens of Punjab.
