The Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi, visited the ongoing construction at 15.2 kilometers motorway patch. It will link Gujranwala city to the Lahore-Sialkot motorway.
CM emphasized that this dual carriageway project would reduce the travel time from Gujranwala to Lahore, making it to mere 45 minutes. This efficiency is achieved by directly connecting Gujranwala to the motorway through the Wando Interchange-Benazir Chowk road link.
Mr. Naqvi also issued a plan for a commercial area alongside this link road. It aims to stimulate economic activities in the region. He highlighted the importance of this facility, underlining its role in providing seamless access to the motorway, which in turn can fuel economic growth.
Expressing his commitment to completing the project within the prescribed timeframe, Mr. Naqvi conveyed his satisfaction with the ongoing construction work. He also commended the performance of the Frontier Works Organization (FWO), the agency responsible for the project’s execution.
FWO officials provided detailed briefings to Mr. Naqvi on the significant progress achieved in the construction of this vital transportation link.
