Government of Pakistan Approves PKR 129 Billion for PSDP Projects in Q4

On April 17th, a news source reported that the government in Islamabad authorized the disbursement of PKR 129 billion. It is for PSDP projects (Public Sector Development Programme) in the fourth quarter of the year (April-June). This amount includes PKR 27 billion for Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Ex-FATA, and Gilgit-Baltistan.

The Ministry of Planning and Development has prioritised the Water and Resource Division and Higher Education Commission (HEC) during fund allocation.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Housing and Works will receive PKR 4 billion. The Power Division PKR 5 billion, and the Ministry of Railways PKR 8 billion.

Additionally, PKR 30 billion will be allocated to the Ministry of Water Resources to accelerate the progress of psdp projects. Such as the Diamer-Basha Dam, Nai Gaj Dam, Kachhi Canal, and Mohmand Dam.

The Ministry of Communications will receive PKR 22 billion to hasten work on the dualization and improvement of the old Bannu Road and Khuzdar-Kuchlak Road.
