Commissioner Lahore and DG LDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa are actively monitoring the development of public-centric projects in the provincial capital to guarantee timely completion.
Recently, the Commissioner made unannounced trips to the Samanabad underpass and the Lahore Bridge extension project, where he was briefed on the ongoing construction work by the chief engineer LDA, contractors, and project directors.
During the visit, the Commissioner observed the building activity and emphasized the significance of hitting daily goal-setting deadlines. The Lahore Bridge extension project is moving along well, with the pillars nearly finished. He also set a deadline of May 31 for completion. In the final week of May, the Commissioner encouraged PHA to start horticulture work on the bridge.
The Commissioner further stated that the Samanabad underpass would be accessible to traffic by May 30. He instructed the construction crew to finish the underpass and the roadways on all four sides as quickly as feasible.
Additionally, he asked for a plan to construct the slip roads along the Samanabad underpass. He also confirmed that monitors were being used throughout the day and night shifts as the work was being done. For the sake of the populace, the Commissioner is dedicated to ensuring that these public projects are finished on schedule.
