Girder launching, involving the secure fixation of girders onto the pillars of both flyovers is completed successfully. Moreover, the asphalt work on one of the overhead bridges is also finished. It has enabled the team to swiftly transit to the asphalt work on the remaining part of the flyover.

The Akbar Chowk flyovers and remodeling initiative started in May of this year. It has been designed to transform Maulana Shaukat Ali Road into a signal-free corridor. It will significantly improve traffic flow at this critical intersection, ultimately saving time for commuters traveling between Kot Lakhpat and Canal Road.

Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General Muhammad Ali Randhawa recently visited the site to assess the progress of the project. During his inspection, he highlighted the urgency of completing the construction work and ordered the Parks & Horticulture Authority (PHA) to start beautification and planting activities along the roads.
