Fifteen historically significant sites and Havelis have been officially recognised and designated protected heritage properties by the Walled City of Lahore Authority (WCLA) in LAHORE. This choice was made following a thorough investigation of the authority by the Heritage Conservation Board. It looked at a total of 18 properties.

The newly protected sites, including Nisar Haveli, Noori Building, Gurdwara Janam Astan, Samadi Bhai Mani Singh, Baoli Baghl, Jain Hall, Historical House (Qamar Manzil), Deputies House, Shamsheer Singh Haveli, Haveli Wajid Ali Shah, Tehsil Haveli Makhzanul Aloom Building, Khalifa Manzil and Sabeel Wali Gali, were selected for their architectural and cultural significance, adding to Lahore’s timeless heritage.
These locations will be protected under the terms of the WCLA Act 2012. It will raise the number of heritage properties under protection to 52. Director General of WCLA Kamran Lashari stressed the department’s dedication to helping the neighbourhood.
