Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi has given the green light to construct the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) to improve healthcare facilities in Lahore. Lahore City will soon have the Jinnah Institute of Cardiology for heart patients with top-notch medical facilities.

The proposed location for the project is the Emergency and Trauma Center area, right next to the existing Jinnah Hospital. This decision will alleviate the current overcrowding and streamline healthcare services for the citizens.
During his visit to the project site, the CM outlined his vision for regional healthcare excellence. He ordered the urgent commencement of the construction with a groundbreaking ceremony.
The institute will have the latest medical standards and patient comfort. There will be a seven-story structure, symbolizing the commitment to advanced healthcare. The Jinnah Institute of Cardiology will have a capacity of 250 beds.
Among those present were provincial ministers Dr. Javed Akram and Amir Mir, along with health secretaries and prominent figures from medical institutions, including the Allama Iqbal Medical Hospital and MS Jinnah Hospital.
