The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has taken action against bylaw infractions and unlicensed commercial activity in several areas, including Johar Town, Wapda Town, OPF Scheme, and PIA Colony, by sealing or demolishing more than a dozen buildings.

Ali Nusrat, Director of Town Planning IV, coordinated the operation with the assistance of the police and large equipment. In Johar Town and the surrounding areas, LDA workers demolished numerous illegal properties and unauthorized additions and renovations.
The LDA team demolished the non-compliant buildings at 180F and 181F in the PIA Colony, took down the awning of a tea shop on 3R, dealt with breaches in the stores at 528J and 529J next to Al-Barkat Pharmacy, as well as at 336G and 461G3, and so on. In addition, infractions at stores 432E and 1005E in the PIA Colony and those on plots 53 and 53A in F2 also addressed.
The LDA crew also sealed homes on Block E’s plots 13 and 14, Wapda Town’s plot 78C, and OPF Scheme’s plot 276C. It’s important to note that LDA officials had sent property owners many notices before the operation.
The Director General of LDA, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, has highlighted the need to continue extensive operations against illegal properties & commercial activity and violations of building rules.
