July 2023 witnessed local cement sales increase significantly, as per the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA). According to a reputable newspaper, local cement sales rose sharply by 47% to 3.21 million tons from 1.887 million tons in July 2022.

The volume of exports also increased dramatically, by 184%, from 153,517 tons in July 2022 to 435,854 tons in July 2023. Domestic sales increased significantly as well. In comparison to the same month last year, this remarkable improvement led to an increase in overall revenues of 57%.

Compared to the 1.688 million tons delivered in July 2022, cement mills in the North shipped 2.473 million tons in July 2023, a stunning rise of 46.54%. A considerable increase of 109.61% compared to the 352,747 tons exported in July 2022; south-based mills shipped 739,376 tons of cement in July 2023.

A huge rise of 45.37% above the 1.617 million tons shipped in July 2022, cement mills in the North shipped 2.351 million tons domestically in July 2023. Similarly, South-based mills sold 425,336 tons of cement in local markets in July 2023, an increase of 57.84% from the 269,477 tons they exported in July 2022.
