Lahore: The Punjab Government and the Central Business District (CBD) have launched a mega water drainage project to address the continuous flooding issue along Walton Road. It has an estimated value of PKR 8 billion.

The CM visited the construction sites of two significant infrastructure projects, the Khalid Butt Chowk Underpass, and the Ghora Chowk Defence Mor Flyover. He announced this multi-billion-rupee initiative. The project is expected to be completed within a short span of 120 days.
CM Naqvi also highlighted the urgency of resolving the longstanding challenge of rain water drainage in the Walton Road area. He disclosed that authorities had already initiated discussions with the Cantonment Board to collaborate on a comprehensive solution. In addition to this development, he assured that the Khalid Butt Chowk Underpass is in the final stages. It will be opened to the public next month.
Furthermore, CM Naqvi reiterated the commitment to expedite the Ghora Chowk Flyover project and ensure its timely completion. He emphasized that the government’s primary focus was to deliver both projects swiftly while maintaining the highest quality standards.
