In Lahore, the Punjab government is starting a project to construct a “Darshan Resort.” It is near to the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur.

Raja Jahangir Anwar, the Tourism Secretary of Punjab, announced that the government will construct a five-storey Darshan Resort. It will be started next month for PKR300 million. The main reason behind this critical development is to make a residence place for Sikh Pilgrims where they can stay and spend their time.

It is located just 500 meters from Gurdwara Darbar Sahib. The project is expected to be finalized by the close of 2024. The Punjab government has committed to fully funding the initiative, underscoring its dedication to bolstering religious tourism in the region.

Further explaining, Raja Jahangir stated that there will be many other entertainment facilities in this Darshan Resort. It includes a mini cinema, gym, and ten-suite rooms. Moreover, Darshan Resort will be constructed at a point where it will offer a beautiful view of Kartarpur Sahib to the pilgrims.
