Lahore is going to witness an important development in the form of the construction of a two-story underpass. Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has inaugurated this important project to counter the traffic congestion in the area.
The underpass will be constructed in the Garden Town area next to the Barkat Market. The government has decided to name this historical underpass after the name of ‘The Great Gamma’ as ‘Rustam-e-Zaman Underpass.’ It will cover a distance of 1.4 kilometers, which is quite a distance.
CM Punjab has announced that the primary objective behind this crucial construction is to ease the traffic in the whole area. The underpass will connect Barkat Market to Canal Road and Jinnah Hospital.
Although it is the first time Pakistan will witness a double-story underpass, NESPAK has designed it carefully. Once completed, it will provide a lot of ease to people traveling from this area on a daily basis.
